1. What is the park fee? Lake Powell is a part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and requires an entrance fee or a National Parks pass.
   
   
2. Why is Arizona on a different time than Utah? Arizona does not operate on Daylight Savings Time.  From early March to mid-November, Arizona is on Pacific time. From mid-November to early March, Arizona is on Mountain time.
   
   
3. When is the best time to have pictures taken? Morning or late afternoon towards evening when the colors are the best. At midday, the sun bleaches the colors of the surroundings.
   
   
4. Can I bring props? Yes! You are encouraged to provide props. Desert Celebrations, a florist and wedding specialist, can supply flowers, props or any other item you may want to make your pictures perfect.
   
   
5. What do I wear? Something in which you are comfortable and feel like “you”. If you plan on having pictures taken by the lake, Lake Powell Photography discourages green pastel colors as well as light blue clothing. If you plan on being in the sun for a long time, wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water.
   
   
6. Can I have all the touched up photos on a CD? Corrections to photos can be extensive and time consuming. The raw images can be placed on a CD, for others you will need to ask.
   
   
7. What are your travel fees? Over 20 miles, there is a $50.00 fee up to 75 miles.  Call for a quote.
   
   
8. Where can I hold my Lake Powell wedding? There are many locations around Lake Powell or Page, Arizona available for weddings.  Desert Celebrations can aid you in finding the perfect location.
   
   
9. What is required to hold a wedding at Lake Powell? Because Lake Powell is a National Park there is a fee and permit required to operate within the park. For more info contact Marianne Karraker at Glen Canyon National Park Head Quarters 928-608-6325.
   
   
10. What is the retainer fee? In order to hold the date of a wedding or large portrait sitting, we require a non-refundable retainer fee of $50.00, which is included in the $150.00 deposit for weddings. For weddings within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, there is an additional $150.00 for license fees.
